Hey guys, I know it’s been a minute since I’ve posted. Just been chilling and to keep it 100, wasn’t prioritizing my time properly. Anywho, as I realized we are midway through the month of January 2019, I had to get out here and get the year started proper!
Have you ever had someone make plans that included you, finalized the commitment and set the expectation for all parties involved that it was going down BUT you were never asked about the plan? Welp, I have come to realize I had been doing this to God for some time now. I would have my New Year’s Resolutions, Life Goals/Plans and be all gong ho about it (nothing wrong with any of that, I actually encourage it). Then realize midway through year, things aren’t going according to plan and now I’m frustrated with God and take it to him like ummmm, what’s up Father.
Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. 9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts”.
During my prayer time toward the end of 2018 I could hear God speaking to me loud and clear letting me know, 2019 could be a different year than I’ve ever experienced. Because our Father is such a gentleman, he don’t force he ask. He asked, would you try it my way this time instead of yours? How about you ask me MY plan/goals for your life to start the year vs you make your own plan then ask me to bless it (and sometimes I wouldn’t even do that, I know, the audacity, right). When I got that word, that was a freaking light bulb moment guys!!! Back to my example above, when someone include you in something without asking you first, it’s not that you won’t do it, thing is, now the plan may not look like the person originally spoke it b/c all parties weren’t on the same page. So things may not be as smooth, it may take longer, there may be a lot of confusion and frustration etc, or it may in fact just have to be a NO!
So this year guys, I’m choosing God’s plan. My husband and I have decided to come together in fast and prayer to seek the Father’s plan and vision over our family for 2019 so we can walk into (and away from) anything that he guides. It sounds simple but when I tell you it has not been for me…whew! Because a lot of times we think, or atleast I do, we know better than God, we can make it happen quicker, his way may seem a bit harder. But I’ve had to often refer to and meditate on Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. 9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts”. Nonetheless I do my best everyday to be intentional with choosing his way “if you say so Father”.
So to that I ask you guys, what’s your 2019 looking like? Your plan or his plan? They could be the same or they could be different. I would just encourage you to get the confirmation from God before exerting your time, energy, money and emotions into something he never really intended for you or intended to give it to you in a different way.

My Prayer: Father, we praise you today and give you all the Glory. Your name shall forever be exalted. I want to thank you for another day another opportunity to do YOUR will on this Earth in the time you have given me. Forgive me for my spirit of pride and fear at times, forgive me for not trusting you and being disobedient. Father, it is my prayer today for those who read this and anyone connected to them, open our eyes, ears and heart to hear from you. I ask that you pour down your discernment and wisdom on your people so we can walk by faith and not by sight. Keep us covered by the blood Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
